Move one exposed card at a time, building down on a card of a different suit. Any card may enter an empty column. Build eight foundations upward by suit.
Reveal the hidden cards and finish all eight foundations.
A descending card can move to any of three other suits, making early reveals more important than constructing a perfect color sequence.
Midshipman is part of Grand Plaza · Forty Thieves & two-deck builders and is a variant of Napoleon at St Helena. Two of four starting cards are hidden, and a descending card must change suit.
